I bumped into my friend Chris the other day who told me about a conversation she’d had with technical support.
Her daughter’s computer had been acting up, just as they do, and asked her mum to fix it. While most women are capable of adapting to just about anything we occasionally have to admit defeat and call in the experts. A quick call to technical support, albeit at the price of a small mortgage, would help her get the computer up and running again, she thought.
The guy on the line asked Chris a whole load of technical questions, most of which she didn’t have a clue what he was talking about so when he asked her what kind of windows she had, Chris replied, quite naturally, “double glazing with white upvc frames, why?”
